This girl has had quite a year. She has had a pressure sore on her foot that landed her in her once seldom used wheelchair to not being allowed to walk since last November. She and I both have put on the weight. We need to both find another way of dealing with stress.(over eating)
Last week we discovered that she would need to have bladder surgery. Excess weight and having a neurogenic bladder led to this surgery. She is hopeful (90% chance) the surgery will aide in ending annoying and embarrassing issues. Sitting and laying so much have created three other pressure sores that now will have a chance to heal.
Regarding her foot. New braces are in the process of being made. They will be ready October 29Th. Around the time she will be recovered from surgery. . Physical therapy to regain strength is next on the agenda. She is also working with a rehab counselor. She is looking into taking a few classes at the local junior college.
Ada and Aubrey are growing leaps and bounds. Ada is crawling and pulling herself up.
Aubrey is having fun a few mornings a week at preschool. I am in need of newer pictures of the sweet duo.
Dave continues to recover from that nasty fall head first on the concrete. He is my sweetheart and best friend. My life is blessed to have such a wonderful companion.
Yesterday, we recovered the dining room chairs again. They are now baby proof.
Today we will transplant the raspberries and blackberries and then it is off to Northwestern Memorial Hospital . Surgery is not until 4:45 this afternoon. Dr. Stephanie Kielb is her urologist. Doesn't she have a beautiful first name?
Life goes on.............................

Beautifully said. I hope all goes well, today. Prayers for Elisabeth, you and your family. Hang in there, Stephanie. XOXO
Wow, that's a lot on your plates! My prayers are with you.
Good news to make you smile: snow won't be coming for awhile yet. May you bask in that. I'm way over my craving for it and not looking forward to it anymore (my posting on facebook last week). :)
